'Geekcamp' is a gathering of literature and arts people who want to share interesting digital things and practical computer know-how. All you need to be is interested.

We want the evening to be fun - a sort of arty 'barcamp' (barcamp.org).  All the sessions will be run ad hoc by attendees - we'll spend time on what you're interested in.

Come prepared to show your peers something digital you like or you've done, pose a question or share something practical you’ve learned  [OK - you don’t have to but it would help]. We'll help you start conversations or find a group to talk to.  If you have a practical problem – e.g. which laptop to buy or how to get started on Twitter or which bit of software to use – we’ll try to pair you up with someone who can help you  solve it. 

Bring a laptop if you have one and some biscuits to help make friends.  Free Word will provide WiFi, whiteboards and tea and coffee.  We’ll have pizza to eat at half time and ask for a £3 contribution if you'd like some.

The event itself is FREE. Please register on this site for a ticket if you'd like to come as space is limited.
